Sleepless in San Diego

It's a challenge that could change your prospective about homeless people. Herb Johnson, the President of the San Diego Rescue Mission joined us in studio to tell us about a unique way you can help the homeless.

The San Diego Rescue Mission is giving people the chance to help raise money by sleeping on the streets of San Diego for one night. The fundraising event is called "Sleepless in San Diego" and is taking place outside City Hall on April 28th.

Volunteers will raise money though forty dollar pledges. The money will help support programs at the San Diego Rescue Mission. Herb Johnson hopes the event will raise the issue of homelessness and give people an idea of what it's like to sleep outside.
