RESCUE MISSION TO SERVE HOMELESS THANKSGIVING BANQUET; ENTIRE MEAL DONATED, PREPARED BY TRATTORIA LA STRADA
Annual event provides meals and care packages
for men, women and families living on the streets of San Diego


WHAT:
The San Diego Rescue Mission expects to serve more than 1,000 hot turkey dinners to homeless San Diegans at its Annual Thanksgiving Banquet. This year the entire Thanksgiving meal will be donated by Trattoria La Strada, one of the Gaslamp's finest Italian restaurants, and prepared by Chef Roberto Bernardoni, with assistance from Mission kitchen staff. Volunteers will hand out t-shirts, socks, towels, shampoo, soap and lotion, as well as information on the Rescue Mission's life-changing programs, to individuals and families living on the streets of San Diego.

Thanksgiving Banquet, Saturday, November 18, 2006, 2:00 - 4:30 p.m.
