SAN DIEGO RESCUE MISSION RECEIVES $1,000 DONATION FROM THE HOSPITALITY, SALES & MARKETING ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL
The San Diego Chapter of the Hospitality, Sales & Marketing Association International generously donated $1,000 to the Rescue Mission as part of their holiday giving program.
“We at the Hospitality, Sales & Marketing Association wanted to acknowledge the contribution that the Rescue Mission makes to this community in helping those less fortunate. This gift was given to support the Rescue Mission’s excellent programs,” said John Parker of Marriott Hotels and the president of the HSMAI.
Kelli Adame, Individual Gifts Manager for the San Diego Rescue Mission attended at the HSMAI’s Holiday Luncheon to receive the donation. In response to the gift, Kelli said, “We feel blessed by the generosity of the Hospitality, Sales & Marketing Association that make the work of the Mission possible.”
The San Diego Rescue Mission offers emergency shelter for homeless women and children in addition to its comprehensive 12-month program form men and women that include drug recovery and relapse prevention; job training and continuing education; and “One-to-One” counseling.
The Mission doesn’t accept tax money or funding from the government and is dependent on donations from individuals and corporations for its programs to help the homeless. The Mission saves San Diego taxpayers more than $50 million a year in services it provides the homeless.
