"I once again have hope in my life and a purpose."
My name is "Tom". I am 42 years old and with God's grace have been given the opportunity to start over. This would not have been possible without God and the San Diego Rescue Mission. I have been a meth addict for 31 years. Although mostly functional in my younger adult years I still had many problems in my life. I wouldn't look at drugs being the cause of these problems. Drugs took my wife, children, work ability, and eventually my freedom. Losses almost too overwhelming to stand through. While in prison I was spiritually broken and opened my heart and eyes to Jesus Christ. Since coming to Jesus I have gotten 22 months clean, got my health, both mental and physical, back, cleared all court matters, got visitation with my children, got a vehicle and a job. I once again have hope in my life and a purpose. I am also about to graduate from the San Diego Rescue Mission and that's only because of God in my life.
I thank God everyday for the forgiveness and blessings He has given me. He has changed a violent, angry, hurt, and bitter man into "Who I Am". Today someone I enjoy being.
