From Compassion to Action
Homelessness isn’t a government problem to fix, but a community issue to address. That’s why volunteers play such an important role in the work of the San Diego Rescue Mission.
Whether you’re serving a meal, assembling resources, building community with residents, or participating in a service project, your involvement helps create opportunities for healing, hope, and restoration for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Every volunteer has a role to play. Join us as we work together to impact San Diego County one life at a time.
Need To Know
Minors
Some opportunities do not allow minors. Check individual details for age restrictions. ALL MINORS must serve with their parent or guardian.
Volunteer Hour Verification
We provide verification for school-related service hours. Submit requests to volunteers@sdrescue.org (please allow 3-business days). At this time, we cannot provide verification for court-ordered service hours.
Walk-Up Volunteers
To ensure the safety of our guests, we do not allow walk-up volunteers. All volunteers must pre-register through our volunteer hub, VOMO. For assistance, contact volunteers@sdrescue.org.
