Visit the Mission

See first-hand how lives are being changed!

What can you expect?

San Diego Rescue Mission tours are available at our three locations across the county, offering a terrific overview of our programs. There are occasional opportunities to interact with Rescue Mission staff, students in our year-long program, or Shelter guests. Tours can be tailored to accommodate special needs.

Come see firsthand how your generosity is changing lives at these locations:

Our largest facility boasts 310 beds and offers stunning harbor views. Visit multiple floors featuring our Children’s Resource Center, Navigation Center drop-in Shelter for women and children, and communal spaces for our year-long Mission Academy residential program. Access is mostly via elevator, though stairs are available on site.

Our newest Navigation Center, this 30-Day Shelter, accommodates 162 women, men, and families by referral. Its visually striking features include high ceilings and impressive wall murals. Spanning two floors and two separate buildings, tour highlights include the Community Center, Men’s and Women’s dorms, the Family Center, Day Center and administrative offices.

How long is the tour? Tours typically last from 30 minutes to one hour. We can arrange a time frame that works best for visitors.
Are there pre-scheduled times or should someone call to arrange a tour? Call to arrange a tour time, Monday through Friday from 9AM-4PM. Occasional Saturday tours are available.
Are there group tours? Is there a limit to how many people can be in a group? We typically give tours in groups of approximately 5, however, we can accommodate larger groups with multiple guides when needed.
