On behalf of the San Diego Rescue Mission, I want to personally thank you for taking the time to learn more about our organization, the plight of our clients, and how, with God’s help, we create positive, lasting change for abused, addicted, and homeless people throughout San Diego.

When we first opened our doors to the homeless in 1955, the San Diego Rescue Mission offered little more than a warm meal, temporary shelter and the good news that Jesus loves them.

That good news remains the same, but our organization has grown. More than five decades later the San Diego Rescue Mission provides a full range of comprehensive services that rehabilitates lives — and restores hope — for hundreds of people each year.

Our programs also serve San Diego’s citizens by building stronger communities, and by saving taxpayers an estimated $50 million a year in emergency room and other costs related to those living on the streets.

We take our work seriously and we are proud of what we have achieved.

We are also humbled by the knowledge that true impact has only been possible through our supporters’ generosity – and guidance from God.
