who are homeless.
78% of them say they became homeless right here in our county. We have the fifth-largest homeless population in the country. Homelessness can be caused by many factors, including:
- A rise in unemployment and trouble earning living wages.
- The ongoing struggle to find affordable housing as prices soar.
- People with mental illness being left to fend for themselves.
- Domestic abuse is cited as the main reason women & children become homeless.
Thankfully, even when things are at their worst, our hurting neighbors can always turn to the San Diego Rescue Mission.
