San Diego Rescue Mission is a non-profit homeless shelter and recovery center serving thousands of homeless, hungry, and poor men, women, and children in San Diego since 1955.

Housing

In order to help those we serve create true, permanent change, we must first help them get off the streets. Our housing programs provide the stability and security needed to allow individuals to focus on their most pressing physical, emotional and spiritual challenges.

Our housing programs do more than give someone a roof over their head for the night. We help our residents confront and overcome the problems that led to homelessness in the first place.

To achieve these goals we begin by providing for basic needs through meals, medical attention and clothing. We then provide more in-depth services, such as vocational training, substance abuse recovery, daily chapel services, and employment preparation.

Those we serve commit to working on their full selves when they enter our programs. In the end, this means they return to life as independent, productive, God-centered members of society.
