Those living on the street face more than physical challenges. Many also live with one or more mental health or substance abuse issues, adding to their difficulty in finding housing and employment.
Therapeutic Services at the San Diego Rescue Mission provides individual, family and group therapy for residents of our programs as well as the San Diego community. Therapy is available at no charge to those who could not otherwise afford it. The clinic also provides psycho-education and therapy for loved ones of our program participants.
Treatment is provided by licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, or by interns and trainees under their supervision.
Through mental health counseling, we provide another service to meet the needs of the whole individual, giving him or her the best chance at living as a healthy, contributing member of our community.
